Performance
The 2014 Crosstrek handles everything from smooth, level pavement to rough terrain and mild off-roading.  Drivers will find that the Crosstrek handles well in heavy snow and rain, and performs expertly on muddy or gravely mountain roads.

Comfort, Quality and Ease of Use
The Subaru brand has always been well-known for the worker-like quality of its all-wheel-drive cars, and the Crosstrek is carrying on that tradition.  The Crosstrek's seating easily accommodates four adults comfortably, and the driver's seat includes height, reclining, and sliding adjustment options.  There is also a small knob on the outside corners of the 60/40 split rear seat that make flipping it forward from inside of the car very easy.

The Crosstrek's cargo space easily accommodates everyday loads for work, travel, and sport used by drivers and their families.  The "box-like" load bay has a wide cargo floor that makes for easy loading and unloading.

Safety and Fuel Economy
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rates the Subaru XV Crosstrek at four stars---its highest rating---for frontal crash and rollover safety.  The Crosstrek boasts a five-star rating in the Overall and side-impact categories.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) lists the 2014 XV Crosstrek as a Top Safety Pick.

The non-hybrid Crosstrek is rated at 28 mpg combined with the continuously variable transmission (CVT), and 26 mpg with the standard five-speed manual transmission.  The Crosstrek Hybrid is rated at 31 mpg combined (29 mpg city, 33 mpg highway).

Overall, drivers will appreciate the XV Crosstrek for its updated options, performance, comfort and quality, along with its ability to handle a wider variety of tasks---many times slightly tougher tasks---than are possible in the average car.
