Every year, J.D. Power evaluates of variety of vehicles in several different categories in order to provide Westborough drivers with information on the best vehicles on the market. This year we’re happy to announce that both the 2022 Subaru Forester and WRX have won the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. ALG Residual Value Award in their respective categories.
How a Vehicle is Evaluated
For a vehicle to win this award, it must undergo meticulous evaluation. Vehicles are evaluated in 29 categories, including their used-vehicle performance, brand outlook, and product competitiveness. This year the award process consisted of evaluating 284 models, and by the end of the assessment, J.D. power determined that the 2022 Forester was the Best Compact Utility and the WRX was the Best Sports Car.

Subaru Forester
The 2022 Subaru Forester comes in six trim levels and come outfitted with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower. The 2022 model also introduces the Forester Wilderness. The Forester Wilderness is the newest model in the Wilderness family and is the fifth-generation Forester to receive a redesigned front panel and new amenities and safety features.
Subaru WRX
The all-new 2022 Subaru WRX offers the most advanced features, design, and performance out of any model before it. This fifth-generation rally vehicle is powered by a new 271 hp 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER® engine and paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or new automatic transmission. The 2022 WRX delivers better performance, technology, and safety features that help it stand out from the competition.
