In October, many people throughout the United States celebrate a wide range of traditions. With that in mind, one automobile company wants people to start celebrating "Subaru Loves Pets" month during October. Throughout the month of October, Subaru dedicates itself to supporting the well-being of as many pets as possible throughout the United States.
One of the most notable events to take place during Subaru's month-long celebration happens on October 22nd, otherwise known as National Make a Dog's Day. This holiday is a 24-hour long event dedicated to helping dogs everywhere, particularly those in shelters looking for homes.
Dogs That We Help
To be more specific, Subaru wants to spotlight dogs that need a home, including:
- Dogs with special needs
- Senior dogs
- Dogs with visual and hearing impairments
- Amputees
- Animals with other types of physical challenges and disabilities
National Make a Dog's Day in Marlborough
Subaru understands that not everyone in Westborough, especially those who already have pets, can adopt a new animal. With that said, Subaru encourages those with pets to consider doing something special for them on National Make a Dog's Day. You might even find Subaru commenting on and sharing social media posts from fans using the #MakeADogsDay hashtag.
Subaru's of America Senior Vice President of Marketing, Alan Bethke, notes that "Dogs hold a special place in our hearts." He also commented on the importance of having people in Worcester show their appreciation for "our canine friends." This will be the second year for Subaru to participate in this new initiative.
